We’re excited to make this summer your best ever. While you’re here, you’ll be touched by the wonder that makes camp different from normal, everyday life. That feeling is what keeps so many of us coming back, summer after summer.
Let us tell you a bit about Charis Hills. Did you know that "Charis" is a Greek word for grace and acceptance?
Feeling—and being—accepted and understanding the gift of grace is what Charis Hills is all about. During your experience at Charis Hills, you’ll meet boys and girls your age. Better yet, you’ll make friends that you’ll remember for the rest of your life, friends who will care about you and help you. They’ll help you discover the things you’re good at and improve the things you need help with.
There’s more, too. You have an important chapter to write in God’s story at Charis Hills, a story that has gone on before you and will continue after you. Sometimes, life’s most significant moments can come in the most unexpected ways, and we can’t wait to discover what your time here will hold. Yours is going to be a wonderful chapter.
When your journey follows a path to Charis Hills, you are instilled with love, grace and a passion for God. Our campers are on a journey, one that is moving them toward achievement and a greater understanding of themselves and who they are in Christ. On this journey, you are offered friendship, encouragement, and the adventure of a lifetime.
Our counselors will teach you about the gift of grace that only Christ can give you. You’ll learn how important you are to God and to your counselors. You matter. They make sure of it. Your counselors will show you just how much fun it is to be a Christian, and they’ll help you be a leader, serve others, and face the challenges and disappointments of life with grace.
You’ll also choose from many fun and rewarding activities while you’re here. We celebrate and enjoy being together through crazy theme nights such as a Barn Hootinany, Wet n Wild night, Carnival, and Talent Show nights. We have silly skits and laugh our heads off doing fun stuff. We work hard on cooperation and don’t spend much time on competition. And, we give you the opportunity to experience the great outdoors along with the comfort of nice facilities. What a wonderful way to spend your summer!
Charis Hills is unlike any other place on Earth. It’s about living to the fullest, the way God intended. Here, you can do things you’ve never done before. Your counselors will be there beside you to teach, support, and encourage. The adventures, friendships, and fun at camp will last you a lifetime. It is a wonderful place to see how much God loves you and wants a relationship with you.
